Ok, first a warning.  If you make these, (if you are like me) you might eat the whole tray.  So be warned.  These are delicious, and they are easy (although it takes a few steps).  Photo by Shani D.: I used Duncan Hines Brownie Mix (it was on sale – you can sometimes get it for .99). 2 -9 inch circle tins 1/2 stick of margarine 1 package Duncan Hines brownie mix 2 cups peanut butter 1 stick margarine 1/4 cup powdered sugar 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips 1/4 cup rich’s whip (or liquid of your choice, milk, almond milk, coconut milk, etc) Directions: Add 1/2 stick of margarine to the duncan hines dry mix – and stir until mixed.  This step is completely optional, I find that if you add 1/2 a stick of margarine it makes the brownies a little more crunchy…

Cheese Fondue – or should I say FUN! Do!   Yes, fondue seems to have gone out of favor with the 70s, which is a real shame, because whereas I agree that bell bottoms and velour suits made a “graceful”? exit, I simply have to disagree with not keeping fondue around. First of all, if nothing else, you have chocolate fondue, and could chocolate ever go out of style?  I will answer that, no, it’s just not possible in my paradigm of thinking about the world.  What could be wrong about dipping just about everything into chocolate (marshmallows, pound cake, pretzels, potato chips, apples, bananas, strawberries, some people say melons, but really, I don’t understand those people, although, based on my earlier statement that there can’t be anything wrong with dipping just about everything into chocolate, I suppose those melon dippers can dip if…

We will be doing our (yearly?) fundraiser for Menucha again next week (January 2, 3rd or 4th you can pick up the $15 lemon bars).  For the first 20 orders the entire $15 will go directly to Menucha.  For every order over that $14 will go to Menucha.   Please order, Menucha, Inc is great (www.menucha.org). This week we are making our immensely popular cajun special ($15 per person – please order by Wednesday at noon).  I am typically light on adding the spicy heat – so if you want it spicy hot you have to special request it. Appetizer Jalapeno Poppers – jalapeno with sweet peanut butter -baked. (Not as spicy as it sounds, and it is really very wonderful – you are supposed to eat the whole pepper at once, so that the the peanut butter cools down the pepper while you eat it). Fish Course:…
